1. Talk to someone you can trust

Try to keep yourself busy. Go out with friends, don’t isolate, stand up and take a walk. Don’t try to be idle or sit alone in your thoughts, take the necessary steps to separate yourself from your disease. A positive routine is vial at this point.

Healing is a gradual process, you shouldn’t expect an instant healing and don’t be carried away by people who have passed the stage and are totally free from addiction. You should not be shaken or discouraged about your present condition.

Always try to stay relaxed. When you feel a bit tense, you can lighten things up by relaxing. Eat well and sleep more.

5. Reach out

When you are struggling with your emotional or mental health, it is imperative that you reach out to your fellowship and recovery support group. Take the time and action necessary to ensure your recovery.
